Segregation Boulevard–Mauá
split-screen simultaneous video performance

Four musicians walk from Sala São Paulo to Luz Station: two along the Mauá Street sidewalk and two through Boulevard Maestro João Carlos Martins, a controlled-access passage connecting Sala São Paulo’s parking lot to the CPTM platform. They play at a distance, trying in vain to hear each other. While one pair (clarinet and percussion) moves through the Boulevard, supported by the state’s promise of security, the other pair (bassoon and percussion) confronts the fear of walking the street, opening themselves to a more direct encounter with the territory’s dynamics.
